Policies & Procedures
- Carefully choose the dates the media is to be used.
- Visit, write, e-mail, fax or call the Resource Center to reserve materials. A ten-day advance notice is appreciated if media is to be sent in the mail.
- Media will be mailed out well before the reserved date to allow for preview and preparation and MUST be returned to the Resource Center the DAY AFTER USE UNLESS IT IS A SUNDAY OR HOLIDAY.
- It is imperative that media be protected when sent in the mail so you are asked to be certain the the media you borrow is returned according to the checklist that is included in each package that is sent out.
- The effectiveness of the RESOURCE CENTER depends on the cooperation of everyone. When materials are NOT returned on time, the next scheduled user suffers the injustice of being denied an expected use of a resource. There will be a PENALTY FEE of $1.00 per day per film for a delay of return. THIS FEE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED AND NO OTHER MEDIA WILL BE SENT TO THE BORROWER UNTIL THE FEE IS PAID.
- Any damage to a video must be reported IMMEDIATELY. The user will be charged the cost of replacement.
- If a parish is not a subscriber to the Resource Center the fee for borrowing is $5.00 per video.
- It is ILLEGAL to copy any of the videos or cassette tapes that are borrowed from the Resource Center. Directors of Religious Education of each parish are asked to be certain that they inform their catechists or anyone else who borrows from the Center that they are not to copy any films or tapes. Please be attentive to this. It is a direct violation of the copyright law which results in severe penalties if violated.
